SIGNS FROM OUR LOVED ONES
Signs are a beautiful way our loved ones reach out from the Other Side to communicate with us! Our loved ones all have the ability to arrange synchronicities to let us know we are never alone. And we all have the ability to receive these signs.
Signs, or after-death communications, are real and actually quite common. At least 25% of Americans have experienced receiving a sign from a loved one. That number increases to 66% for widows and widowers, and 75% for bereaved parents.
My personal examples have included unexplained coincidences in the form of radio songs, cloud shapes, license plates, an unexplained message on my laptop computer, unusual bird visits, odd electrical outages and more!
MIRACLE OF NATURE
One of my favorite Sign stories from my book, You Are My Voice: How Love’s Voice Never Dies, occurred on the one year anniversary of my mother’s passing. I was walking on a beautiful day, yet feeling the heavy pain of loss in my heart. I longed for a Sign, perhaps some little miracle of nature to show me that my mother was near. I had remembered that my mother often told me that when she was missing her father (my grandfather) she would see little white and yellow butterflies on her path.
As I thought about nature and its miracles, a few white butterflies adorned my walk. Within a few short minutes the numbers multiplied, and a small swarm of butterflies were suddenly all around me. I laughed at the oddity of my flying companions and continued my walk, content in knowing I wasn’t alone.
“I’LL SEE YOU AGAIN”
After my father passed away, I decided to keep his car. The first day I drove it as my own, a song came on the radio with a perfect message from him. I looked at the song on the screen, and it read, I’ll See You Again! Another time after his passing, I had wished that I could have asked him about some details regarding his personal belongings. He always liked to be in charge, and in my college days, my friends all referred to my father as “the Captain”. At about that moment, I laughed as the next song appeared… I’m Your Captain! With confidence I knew I was not alone in my decision-making. The decisions I made would be just fine with his Spirit at my side.
LET IT GO
On another occasion as I was donating and selling my parents furniture, I was contemplating the sale of my mother’s beloved dining room set. There was no room in my home for her furniture, yet I was guilt-ridden about the notion of letting it go since it had meant so much to her. As I drove away from my father’s home, a car turned in front of me with a personalized license plate. The plate read “EKG”. While some could argue it might have been a cardiologist’s car, those letters also represented the initials of my parents. I smiled at that thought, and at the same time, noticed the song on the radio, Let it Go. Without further hesitation, I let the furniture go!
Once we believe in the likelihood of signs, and open our hearts to receiving them, they will appear to you! Feel free to share your comments below about any signs you’ve experienced in your life!
