Ask and Receive

“Ask and you shall receive” was a passage my mother shared with me after her death.  While it’s a Bible verse that many of us have grown up hearing, it can also help us connect with our loved ones.

Shortly after my mother’s passing, she shared with me in a dream that our love never died, and her Spirit was alive, healed, and near. Even more specifically, she said it was important for me to “ask” to experience heavenly guidance.

Can we ask for after-death communication?  Yes!  Before going to sleep, find some time to quiet your mind, restore your spirit, and if you feel led, pray. Ask your loved one to come to you in a dream visit and perhaps even assist you with a particular matter in your life.

Selling the Car

A few months before my father died, he had decided to sell his sports car. We tried advertising it ourselves, and consulted a few local car clubs, but we weren’t making much progress.

After he passed away, I was faced with the decision of how to sell his favorite car. A few friends helped, I posted more ads, but still no sale. One night, I simply asked my deceased father for advice. In a beautiful dream, he appeared standing near a four lane road, arms up and pointing down the road.  He looked healthy, happy, and strong, and was wearing a familiar jacket I remembered.  There was a four-sided yellow sign on the side of the road, but I couldn’t read the words.

I woke up hopeful that this was a message from heaven.  Later that morning, the owner of a car consignment dealership called me with directions to his business. He had offered to take the car and sell it for me.

The Yellow Signs

On the day I took the car, I remembered the dream from my father about the road and the yellow sign. As I began driving on a road I had never driven before, it became absolutely clear to me that this was the road in my dream!

Two lanes going in the same direction, a grassy median in-between, and even more miraculous, at least 20 yellow signs alongside the road on the way to the dealership!  I was completely confident that I was taking the car to the right place for the next owner, and more importantly, I was not alone in my decision-making.

While we are sleeping, our rational, critical minds are not engaged. Our hearts are open to receive without judgment. This is a time when our loved ones can connect with us from their heavenly, loving state, without our logic getting in the way.

Ask, Believe, Receive

I encourage you to ASK.  BELIEVE your answers will come.  RECEIVE with an open heart.  Answers may not appear overnight, but with patience, your dreams may just give you the clear sign you need to see!
